We build fast websites that search engines and AI assistants can read, automate follow-up, and turn AI-built app prototypes into software you can charge for. How the web has changed since 1999, and what it means for a site built today
Our founder started building websites in 1999, ten years before Flamcom was founded. Three shifts since then decide how we build now.
From tables and Flash to plain, light pages
In the late 1990s, pages were laid out with HTML tables, the ambitious ones opened with a Flash intro, and most visitors arrived on dial-up. Flash faded out in part because search engines struggled to read it and phones would not run it. The lesson outlived the era: light, plain HTML loads quickly and can be read by any machine that fetches it. For a site built today, that means static HTML, small images in AVIF or WebP, and almost no JavaScript.
Phones became the main screen
Broadband made heavy pages feel normal, then phones turned the small screen into the main one. Responsive design let one site fit every width, and Google began ranking pages by their mobile version. Then came Core Web Vitals (Google's speed and stability scores), which measure how fast a page loads, responds and settles. For a site built today, that means designing and reviewing on a phone first, with a written speed target agreed before the build starts.
Search started answering
ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode now answer questions directly and cite a handful of sources. Each one picks its sources differently, and many of their crawlers never run scripts. For a site built today, that means a direct answer near the top of each page, specific facts an AI assistant can quote, structured data, and content that sits in the HTML itself.
Three things we hold to on every project
Fast by design
Speed is decided in the design. For every new site, our target is the main content appearing in under 2.0 seconds on a mid-range phone over 4G (Google calls this largest contentful paint). You see the measured scores before launch.
In writing, in your name
We put the price, the timeline and what you own in writing before work starts. Packages are published, from $2,499. Anything we can't price from a page gets a written quote. You approve every page, the domain is registered in your name, and the site and its code are yours on final payment.
No invented proof
We don't publish testimonials, ratings, results or awards we cannot show you. What we can show is the list of businesses whose sites we have built, our prices and our process, and you can judge us on those.
Small businesses that need their site to bring in work
Our clients are small businesses: owner-led companies, professional practices and service firms that want a website to bring in inquiries. The work covers five services: websites; SEO, AEO, GEO and CRO; automation, including database reactivation; custom development; and taking vibe-coded apps to production. Questions about Flamcom
Where is Flamcom based?
Flamcom's team works from Pakistan, and the studio is remote-first. Most of our clients are small businesses in the US and Canada, with others in the Gulf and Europe. Calls are booked at a time that suits you. Projects run by email, shared documents and live staging pages you can open on your own phone, and we reply within one business day (Monday to Friday), by email.
When was Flamcom founded?
Flamcom was founded in 2009. Our founder has built websites since 1999 and has watched the web move from table layouts and Flash to phones as the main screen, and now to AI assistants that answer questions directly. That history shapes how the studio builds today: static HTML that loads fast, design reviewed on a phone first, and pages both Google and AI assistants can read.
Why are there no testimonials on your site?
We publish only proof we can show you, so there are no testimonials, ratings or results on this site. Instead, you can see the businesses whose sites we have built, read every package price on our pricing page, and get a written scope with a fixed price before any work starts. If you want a reference, ask and we'll put you in touch with a past client.
Who owns my website?
You do, once the final payment is made: the site, its design, its content and the full source repository, which we hand over on request. The domain is registered in your name from the start. On a care plan we host the site on our account; cancel with 30 days' notice and we move it to your own hosting at no charge. For apps and custom builds, production accounts are in your name.
How do I start a project with Flamcom?
