Replit app to production
Replit deployment for your Agent-built app, ready for real traffic.
Replit Agent builds a full-stack app, with a server and a database, and a Replit deployment puts it online with a click. Production readiness comes down to the settings around it: secrets, backups, deployment type, running costs and who owns the accounts. We fix those on Replit when Replit suits you, or move the app to your own hosting when it doesn't. It starts with the $299 Production Readiness Audit, credited toward the build.
All prices are in US dollars.
- In business since 2009; our founder started building websites in 1999

- We'll tell you if staying on Replit is the better choice
What Replit Agent gives you.
Replit Agent writes the whole app in a workspace that runs on Replit's servers: front end, back end and a managed PostgreSQL database. Unlike builders whose preview runs in the browser, a Replit app has a real server from day one, so secret keys can stay server-side and background work is possible. When you publish, Replit creates a separate production database and runs the app on its own infrastructure, with custom domains available.
That is a sound base. The gaps are in the choices Agent makes quietly while building: where keys are stored, which deployment type the app uses, whether backups suit your plan, and whose account all of it sits in. Replit changes features often, so the audit checks your project as it is configured today.
Six things we check before a Replit deployment goes live.
Secrets in Replit Secrets, not in code
Replit's Secrets tool stores keys as environment variables for the workspace and for deployments (except Static deployments). Agent doesn't always use it. We search the code and history for keys written into files, move them to Secrets and rotate anything exposed. Then we confirm no secret reaches the browser through the front-end bundle.
Database backups and schema changes
Replit's production database supports point-in-time restore and daily scheduled backups, with retention that depends on your plan. We confirm they are on and long enough for your business, then run a test restore before launch. Replit's docs note that restoring the database does not roll back code, and code rollbacks do not restore data, so matching restore steps go into your handover guide.
Schema changes (changes to the database's table structure) made in development are applied to production when you publish. We review them before launch and add that check to the guide for later releases.
Deployment type and running costs
Replit offers several deployment types. Autoscale adds capacity under load and scales to zero when idle, billed by use. Reserved VM is an always-on server at a fixed monthly cost. Static serves files only, and Scheduled runs jobs on a timer.
Pick the wrong one and background tasks stop when the app idles, or you pay for a server nobody uses. The production database is billed by usage as well, so we look at both.
Login and account security
Agent can add Replit Auth, where customers sign in with a Replit account on Replit-branded pages, Clerk Auth with your own branding, or custom login code. For a customer-facing product we check which one you have and whether it fits. Then we test password reset, session expiry, access to other users' records, and rate limits on login and sign-up.
Domain, monitoring and public pages
We connect your domain, confirm HTTPS, and add error monitoring with alerts that go to you. Public pages that need to rank get checked in the raw HTML. If the browser builds the page with JavaScript, crawlers that skip scripts see little of it; read how static HTML pages reach crawlers.
Staying on Replit or moving off it
Staying on Replit is a fine choice for many small apps: internal tools, early products with modest traffic, and teams who like building there. Moving off makes sense when costs climb with usage, when a client or regulator needs the app in a specific cloud, or when your developers want their own pipeline.
The audit recommends one or the other for your app. If you choose to move, we take the code to your GitHub, the database to a Postgres host in your name and the app to hosting you choose, as part of the quoted build.
The audit and build for Replit projects.
The Production Readiness Audit scores seven areas. On a Replit app, the hosting score covers your deployment type and what it costs to run, and the audit ends with a recommendation to harden the app on Replit or move it. The $299 is credited toward a build you order within 60 days of the report, and it is refunded in full if the report takes longer than five business days from access. The audit and build are explained step by step on our vibe-coded app to production page.
Replit to Production Quick Facts
Flamcom's audit for Replit Agent apps scores the deployment type and its running cost, then recommends staying on Replit or moving.
On Replit, a database restore doesn't roll back code, so Flamcom writes matching restore steps into each Replit app's handover guide.
Flamcom treats staying on Replit as a sound choice for internal tools and modest-traffic apps.

Replit production questions
What makes Replit hosting a bad fit for an app?
Usually one of three things: running costs that grow faster than revenue, a client or regulator who needs the app in a specific cloud account, or a development team that wants its own build and review process. If none applies, Replit with secrets, backups, the right deployment type and monitoring in place is a reasonable home. The audit tells you which case you're in.
Which Replit deployment type should my app use?
Use Autoscale for a web app with uneven traffic that can sleep when nobody is using it. Use Reserved VM when the app runs background jobs, keeps live connections open or must answer instantly. Static suits a site with no server code, and Scheduled suits jobs that run on a timer. The audit compares your traffic pattern with the cost of each option.
How do I move my app off Replit?
Push the code to a GitHub repository in your account, export the production database to a Postgres host you own, and set each secret again in the new host. Then deploy and test login, payments and background jobs against the copied data. We keep the Replit version running until the new setup passes testing, and plan the move so the switchover is short and scheduled.
Are Replit databases backed up?
Replit's production database offers point-in-time restore and daily scheduled backups, with retention that depends on your plan. Check that they are enabled and long enough for your business, and that someone has actually tried a restore. We do both before launch and write the steps down. Our founder self-check covers backups in plain terms too.
How much does it cost to take a Replit app to production?
The Production Readiness Audit costs $299, fixed, and is credited toward a build ordered within 60 days of the report. Builds start from $4,000. Hardening an app on Replit usually costs less than moving it, because a move adds code, database and hosting migration work, and that shows up in the fixed quote. See the app audit and build prices for the published figures.
What access do you need to audit my Replit app?
We ask to be added as a collaborator on your Replit project, with read access to its GitHub repository and to a Supabase project if the app uses one. Our five business days start when that access is ready. Once the report is in your hands, you remove our access; if you hire us for the build, you remove it when the build is done. On request, we sign your NDA before looking at the code.
My Replit app is failing in production. What now?
Use the contact form and tick "My app is live and broken right now", which puts your request at the front of the queue. Our aim is a reply the same business day, not a guarantee. Any emergency fix is quoted at a fixed price before work begins, and we don't offer 24/7 or on-call support. With the fix in place, we suggest the $299 audit as the next step.
Send us your Replit project.
Share the published URL and tell us which Replit account the app lives in, yours or a developer's, and roughly what you pay each month to run it. We reply by email within one business day (Monday to Friday) with the audit scope and a payment link. Comparing builders first?
