What the checker tests, and why each check matters

Each of these can stop a page from being found, and none of them shows up when you look at your own site in a browser.

  1. Mobile speed. A lab test on a simulated mid-range phone: largest contentful paint (how long the main content takes to appear), layout shift and total blocking time. Where your site has enough visitors, we add its real-user Core Web Vitals (Google's speed and stability scores). Every new Flamcom site is built to show its main content in under two seconds on a mid-range phone.

  2. Title and meta description. Whether each exists, fits the space search results give it, and says what the page offers.

  3. Headings. One H1, then headings in order with no skipped levels, so readers and crawlers can follow the structure.

  4. Schema. Whether the page carries structured data (schema) and which types. Schema states your business facts in a format search engines read directly.

  5. Indexability. The status code, the canonical tag (which tells Google the main version of a page), and any noindex instruction. A stray noindex tag left over from a staging site can keep a whole website out of search results.

  6. AI crawler access. Whether your robots.txt lets the crawlers behind AI search read the page: OAI-SearchBot and ChatGPT-User for ChatGPT, PerplexityBot, Claude-SearchBot and Claude-User for Claude, and Googlebot, which governs Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode. GPTBot, ClaudeBot and Google-Extended are reported separately: GPTBot and ClaudeBot gather training data, and Google-Extended controls whether Gemini may use your pages.

  7. Rendering without JavaScript. Whether your main content is in the HTML the server sends or only appears after scripts run. Many AI crawlers don't run scripts, which is why every new site from our web design team is built as static HTML.

What lands in your inbox

The report gives each check a clear result, what we found, and why it matters in plain words. Where something fails, it says what to change first. Speed figures are labeled lab or real-user and shown next to our own build target. If the page passes everything, the report says so and lists what the checker can't see.

The report email closes with one line on how to ask a person for a free assessment, and no other email follows it. Forward the report to whoever runs your site, or send your site to us.

When you need a person instead of a tool

The checker looks at one page and is not a full review. It doesn't check rankings, backlinks, content quality, competitors, or whether AI assistants mention you. It reads robots.txt only, so firewall and CDN settings (the network that serves your site's files) that block AI crawlers won't show up here.

Website checker questions

How is the checker different from the free assessment?

The checker is an automated test of one page. The free assessment is a person reviewing your site after you send the contact form: a mobile speed check with Core Web Vitals, the pages your market searches for that you lack, and whether AI assistants mention you. It arrives by email within one business day (Monday to Friday).

Why does the checker look at AI crawlers in robots.txt?

Because one robots.txt rule can stop ChatGPT search, Perplexity, Claude or Google's AI features from reading your page, and most owners never open the file. A pass means your robots.txt allows the crawlers that decide citations. Firewall and CDN settings can still block them, and checking those needs access to your hosting account.

Can it check an app I built with Lovable, Bolt or Replit?

No. The checker works on websites only, because apps need checks a page scan cannot run, such as authentication, database rules and error handling. What happens to my email address?

We use it only to send your report. The checker sends no follow-up emails and does not add you to a mailing list, and we do not ask for a phone number or company details. We keep the address with the page you checked and the report, as our privacy policy explains. The page you enter is fetched the way a public crawler fetches it, so the checker sees only what is already public.

If my site passes every check, will it rank?

Not on its own. Passing means nothing technical is blocking the page, which is the starting line. Rankings and AI citations also depend on the pages you have, the questions they answer, what other sites say about you, and the competition.
